Exfoliate. Exfoliating should be at the top of your list in the fall season as the weather becomes drier with less moisture in the air. This means that it is much more likely for dead skin to build up on your face and body, leaving you flaky, itchy, and irritated. Exfoliating also provides a dual benefit of removing dead skin cells and stimulating new cell growth so that you naturally look younger and fresher. Thank goodness.
Protect your lips. If you struggle with chapped lips in the fall and winter season, it is important to use a moisturizing lip balm treatment and also exfoliate your lips well. An easy way to exfoliate your lips is by mixing equal parts granulated sugar and Vaseline, which you can use to gently scrub dead and chapped skin off of your lips. What many people do not realize is that the thin skin on your lips is highly susceptible to damage so always make it a point to wear a lip balm with an SPF of 15 in the winter season since you can still get UVA damage from the sun when it is cloudy and cold outside.
